How we approach Birmingham projects.
Projects here go beyond the family room: full wet bars, glass-walled gyms, theaters with engineered sound control, and guest suites finished to the same level as the upstairs. Flooring, trim, and lighting are specified with the whole house in mind.
The unglamorous work still comes first. We verify moisture management, insulate to modern standards, and handle egress and permits, because a luxury finish over a compromised basement is not luxury for long.
Stairs set the tone for a basement at this level, so we rebuild them as part of most projects: open railings, proper lighting, and finishes continuous with the main floor. When the descent feels like part of the house, the whole level gets used the way it was designed to be.
